Stage 1 installed!!!

I just got teh call from my buddy's dealership today and the kit was in!!! I left work early to get the ecm reflashed The tech flashed the ecm "under the table" and the whole process took about 1/2 hour. He had to call into GM and speak to an actual person to get the recal uploaded to his Tech 2. This is the wierd part, the GM person asked the tech whether the car was being flashed with the 230 hp kit or the 245 hp kit My buddy says STAGE 2!!! So is there a different recal? I babied the car home and changed the injectors in 1/2 hour and now I'm having dinner and gonna rip it later tonight. Initial impression is the car doesn't feel a whole lot faster up to 4K rpm but I've been running a 3.15 pulley for 3 weeks now so maybe it isn't as dramatic. I may be going to the track this weekend so if I do I'll post times. I'm gonna make a few runs with the 3.15 then the 2.9 goes on full time and the 2.7 will be strip only.

Can't wait to see track times for your stage 1 + smaller pulley.

I'm gonna take a rip on the highway to see what the kit did but I'm assuming it won't be earth shattering since I've been running a 3.15 pulley for a few weeks. Be back later

keep in mind i really wouldn't expect ANY more power at the lower rpms, that's what the pully is for, giving you more torque

Oh snap... Alpha you lose!

No, there is not a different recal... nor did he do anything 'under the table', since your VIN is logged. If there were a different recal, I'd expect your buddy to be looking for a new job tomorrow... besides, the instruction for stage 2 state that if you already have stage 1, and you're done installing the pulley, you're done.

By under the table I meant that there was no work order, he did his thing and after all was done I paid him with no invoice. The car does indeed have a 7000 rpm redline as I hit 7K in 2nd and third gear. The Stage 1 recal that I have in the booklet match the Stage 2 PN in another member from CSS.net, so it's confirmed. I could care less about the recal PN's lol the car is alot faster above 5K and pulls right to 7K. Another interesting thing, the recal DID NOT FIX THE P0171 CODE!!!
