Arrow GM Stage II Reflash

Ok someone tell me if im wrong. Its my understanding that the Reflash for our ECu's will let the ECU decect the smaller pulley correct? the pulley that comes with the Gm kit comes out to be about a 3.1 right? I know that some of you on here have ran a smaller pulley with out any problems then again there are quite a few of you who have had many problem when you started swapping pulley's. My question is when those of us who have goten the kit get our reflash, will that enable us to run a smaller pulley then the one that comes with the stage kits with less hassel? or will i still have a good chance of seeing problems if i run a 2.8 inch pulley. once again I know that not every one on here thats ran a 2.8 pulley has ran into problems but alot of you have.

I thought the stage 2 kit had a 2.8" pulley but then again i coulda mis read something. anyways with the reflash for a 3.1" pulley then u probably could run a 2.8 but u might need the MAF-T from intense to tune a little.

It's not so much that it will 'detect' the smaller pulley, it's that the car will have enough of a dynamic range to keep the car injecting the correct amount of fuel. Right now, the car runs out of injector in the mid to high 5000 mark. That's with the fuel system configured for a 3.35" pulley and a 6450 redline. Throw a 2.8" pulley on there, and you're reducing the size 20% from stock, in addition to other breathing improvements. Intake, exhaust, etc...

Throw a 2.8" pulley on with the stage kit, and you're reducing size 10% from what it's configured for.

How can it not be less hassle? FWIW, my 3.1 has never given me a bit of hassle, and that's basically the same 10% downsize.

What kind of numbers are we looking at with the GM stage 2? I mean is there a way to plug numbers into an equation and find the estimated out put?

Without the tune you'll get the "lean code" because more air is being forced into the engine and the stock injectors can not keep up with the amount of air. The reflash will as spooner said, recognize the larger injectors and account for more intake air. Also makes for a good conversation starter with the ladies, "I've got a stage II on my car and I'm also a Leo, can I buy you a drink?"

So how does the addition of aftermarket parts like CAI, Big Bore, Header, Highflow exaust, equate out? I guess what I'm saying is, these cars stock are getting 207-212whp, right? Now with the addition of stage 2, that= 252whp, plus CAI, which is 12 more hp, would=264whp....and so on. I guess this has been called ricer math on this forum but is that how it actually works? And if not, why? I have heard different opinions on this and am wondering what the rule of thumb is when doing mods and estimating gains in power .
