Is there a way to drain some fluid out of the IC?

I just got some Water Wetter stuff. Actually, it's the same shit but it's called "Chill Out".

I want to add some to the IC and maybe the radiator. Is there a valve to drain some of the IC fluid? Also, how much of this stuff should I use? Summers here in TX are HOT!!!

You could use a turkey baster if you have one handy....

Beyond that, if you remove the passenger's side headlight, you can look at the 3 heat exchangers stacked there. The middle one, the intercooler's, has a bolt on top of it, that you can use to bleed/drain some of the coolant. It comes out pretty quick though, so all you want to do is get it finger loose, and the pull it out for a second or two....

Thanks Sp00n.

How much should I put in the IC? I was thinking whatever I had left, I'd dump in the radiator.

Not sure about the effects on the IC...but I tried it in the radiator. I completely drained out my coolant and ran 15% antifreeze 85% water and the entire contents of the Water Wetter (on a side note a few months later we drained the contents again, and checked the radiator for corrosion...looked perfectly fine). I didn't notice any changes in coolant temperature as far as the stock message center reading was concerned..but then again WW isn't designed to decrease the overall coolant temperature but rather reduce "hot-spots" on in the cylinder head. I plan on doing it again when I have some time.

You can also use a gas syphon to get the coolant out. I was able to get a half of a gallon out by shoving the hose down the filler neck.

So you drained it completely? It only holds ~2 qts!

I cannot find the bolt you speak of Spoon.

I guess I'll just syphon some out.
