2.9" pulley + stock tune = bad for stock plugs

I just changed my plugs to the NGK BKR7E after installing my 2.9" pulley the other day. This is how the plugs looked:

This pic was p-chopped ever so slightly just to try and get the color the same. But, either way, I'm not seeing that nice golden brown color that I was hoping to see.

What do you guys think? A bit on the lean side?

I tried to get it less blurry, but of the dozen pics that I took of the plug, that was the best one... I thought the plugs should have a bit more of a brownish color on the tip of the porcelain? To me, those look a bit on the lean side. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me. I'd love to be able to read plugs properly.

Its not all about the porcelain. running Lean is easy to tell by white on the ground electrode.
Heres a good article:

dude that thing looks good to me. I swapped my plugs to one step colder and I have the stage tune and I picked up 7 hp over the stock plugs. however my stock plugs still looked ok its just that the car ran better with the colder plugs. here ya go check out the link. on how to read a plug. it from a boat mechanics web page but the general idea is the same. http://www.atlanticjetsports.com/_techtalk/00000005.htm

Thanks for the correction guys. I don't know where I got the idea, but I always thought that if the plugs didn't have that golden brown color, they were running lean. Obviously I was wrong... But, on a more positive note, the engine doesn't seem to mind the stock tune and a 2.9" pulley!
