San Diego RL owners HELP!

Does anyone down in San Diego want a roll bar or roll cage? If so, I found a shop that with fab one up for us. I live in Nor Cal so it's a bit of a drive for me. The only catch is that they need the car for a week. I was thinking about renting a car for a week and dropping mine off but the drive between SF and LA sucks. Let me know... After the fabs been done, then all RL owners wanting a rollbar can get one, and I think the price will be between 400-500.

so...lemme get this straight...do I get a free roll cage? or pay $400 for a roll cage? If its free...you all know me (Mr. ˘heap), Ill do it. Other wise, I will need alot more info about the cage before I'd decide to buy it. (Cutting, fabbing of the interior parts? or direct bolt in?)

It's a four point bolt in race roll bar, with diagonal crossmember with harness attachment. Nothins free my friend. So be it, I guess I'll be the guinea pig. I'll take some pictures in a few weeks after is't been made and installed. I post pics then and if anyone else is interested, let me know. Thanks.

yeah but then I'll have to get to the airport from the fab shop and get back home from the airport, then get to the airport and get from the airport back to the fab shop a week later. I'll see some buddys I have down there in Simi.

Plus, the old ladys going, so thats 80 X 2 = 160 and that's the price of the rental car

true that...cant wait for some pics...My old old old ex-roomate had a 4-point in his '96 325. It really made the body alot more rigid, but he had alot of problems w/ rusting around the mounting points. It was pretty sweet, but slow. He used to race it in a stock BMW circuit. The guy was kinda a tool tho, dunno if any of that sh-t is even true, he could be related to zville.

...the roll cage, SHOULD, help increase your body's rigidity. It will bolt to the subframe and help keep the body from twisting and flexing during hard cornereing. Also, should you flip over, itll help you a little, these cars still could kill you from a side impact tho. It helps translate body flex into the suspension.
