boost gauge installed, problem down the road?

so i hooked up a boost gauge yesterday, and i was reading about which line to T it into to. well i had the boost bypass mod done and i actually ended up pullin that line off the nipple on the manifold and just running my boost line from the gauge into there, now w/ the boost bypass mod the line was doin nothing, so i'm just seein your opinions if you think that this is a problem or what? cars running the same so any input would be appreciated.

That's the reference line for the bypass system, so the bypass is just not working like that. That's also how you would hook up a boost gauge if there was no bypass system.
