That looks nice as hell. I wonder how much mods it would take to work on ours? Probably just to the brackets i'd think.

That would be a 1 hour install on our cars since they have those nice tabs on the exchanger end tanks already. That looks like the core on the Ebay deal for ~$158.00 if I remember right. Someone in Chicago whipping these out I think? No need for Aeroquip hose & fittings but it does look very professional. Sure glad we don't have the space issues like those Colbalts have

I would like to see loggings of the Colbalt and Redline IAT's and just a general under the hood temperature. I just have to think our cars (Redline) run cooler with the way open design we have instead of the all crammed together design of the Colbalt.

Cut a hole in the hood it'd move alot of air out. If I had an extra hood I'd make an Evo style hood with mesh and all.

That sounds like it would work well. A rear facing scoop of some sort just slightly aft of the blower housing to draw the air over it. That may screw around with the designed aerodynamics of the car at high speed? Would need some engineer to shed some light on that

Ah well, just getting the IAT-2 temps in check will go a long ways with the LSJ in performance and reliability.

If I can find an extra hood for cheap I'll try just cutting a hole above/behind the blower.

Anyone took a factory hood and made a plug then a mold to 'glass some up? I know that would be a project from hell and stink like a SOB but maybe a few would sell especially if a guy kept them around a hundred bucks rather than trying to screw everyone over with some stupid ass price
