opinions needed

alright so my back tire is deciding to go out on me, and instead of just replacing it with the stock one i'm looking at a couple different options, the first is move my front tires to the back and put some drag radials up front for a couple months until winter then just get a set of steelies and snow tires for the winter, or go with a whole new set of 4 kdw's probably and use them all year, let me know what you guys are thinking.....

Good idea really... You might want to start looking for tire now though. I'd suggest a good set of all season tires for winter and summer use, and a set of 'track' tires. If at all possible.

I have a set of Falken 512's for all-season, and the Falken Azieni's for summer/track. I still have a set of the stock tires as well... I'm suprised it took this long for those bald ass tires to go out.

I just got a set of Goodyear F1's and I love 'em. You can get a really good deal at tire rack on them right now, I think like $88 a peice for stock 225 size. They are good all around tires, very good wet traction.

You should see the tires they sold him the car with Watts... pretty sure it should have been illegal. The fronts were almost bald... he had rotated them on to the back when we met him at the drag strip...

They were that bald? Wow, and did he say he put another 6k on them? Holy.

Though 4 bald tires can be a load of fun in summer, corner I can take at 70+ on the throttle buddy couldn't take a 35 off the throttle...we literally went straight into on-coming traffic instead of turning..lol

Yeah, he met us at the strip after he had his car for like a month maybe? The tread on the rear tires was nearly non-existant. It was more like an outline of tread...

I have the Falken Zeix 512's for all season, they're pretty good. Not great summer tires though. Better straight ahead grip than the stockers, but not nearly the cornering ablility.
