Shit i get everyones attention, 3" straight back to the stock tip now, damn thing sounds like an Indy car when im on it and at idle like its got a big cam in it, im getting a big ass magnaflow resonator put on tommorow so she can at least still breath strong up top and the but dyno says it gained some decent power, with my set up i bet i gained a few mph's in my trap but not worth the noise at all, thinking about getting an electronic cutout and having a magnaflow muffler put on the 3" so i dont get headaches.

so it's a must with the gmpp to relocate the hangers correct? can I use my stock tip? If so would this take up the 2 inches that it is short?

Hey man, I just put this exhaust on my car last weekend. It is a little too short, just like most other Cobalt-ready exhausts, and the rear hanger needs to be modified (cut off and weld the one off of the stock exhaust/something like it in it's place) and it's perfect. A little raspy at WOT through first and second gear, but not too bad after that.

I picked mine up brand new from a CSS.net guy for $120, but even for a $200 price tag, I'd be happy with it. Still working on sound/video clips.

The only bad smells I've gotten so far were the normal bad smells from stickers burning off. Like if you've ever had a piece of pipe from a pep boys or something, when the sticker burns off it smells like ass. I guess i forgot to take a few off of some of the piping.

But yeah I'd say if you do anything, just prep the system before you go to put it on. Take care of that hanger problem, maybe even try taking the stock one off, maybe tack weld it in place of the new ones.

Good luck with it!
