Exedy Hyper-single or Spec Stage 3+ ??

Due to some recent track abuse...

I am in need of a new clutch. My philosophy is "go big or go home".

I am looking for any input from anyone that has an aftermarket clutch. Looking specifically for ones that have the :

Exedy Hyper-single :

Exedy GH02SD Cobalt SS & Ion Redline GM 2.0 S/C Ecotec Hyper Single Disc Clutch & Flywheel Set

or the Spec Stage 3+ :

#1 SELLER! - SPEC SC073F-2 Stage 3+ Cobalt SS 2.0 / Ion Redline 2.0 Non-SAC Billet 360 Clutch Kit

Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, it's a Saturn. No, you can't drive it.

any particular reason why you'd switch to the exedy?

how is the spec?

i went with the spec to save a few bucks, but after paying for install i wouldnt have cared much about he extra couple hundred bucks for the exedy.

the spec is good, holds and never slipped yet, bites harder than stock, and is still pretty comfortable in traffic.

whats the difference between them then? both are rated well above stock, it just looks like the exedy is more expensive

good question. i just like the idea of having a clutch made by the same company that made our stock clutch, plus there have been nearly zero issues with the exedy, whereas spec has had some issues with flywheels and whatnot. exedy to me is just a better brand i guess. dont get me wrong, you wont see me pulling my spec out just to put an exedy in, but when the time for a new clutch comes, i will.

just put the two clutches side by side and you will see the difference and answer your own question. Exedy is the best. Thank you

seeing as how i've never done a clutch, much less had one out of a car to look at it, what makes it the best?
