spec or clutchmasters?

I cant take it any longer I have to replace the clutch. It works fine for DD but slips like hell when I start push it even a little. Not sure witch one to get any issues with either clutch? What will work best? 4 puck, 6puck , full faced, kevlar, ceramic, carbon??

I'm ordering the fidanza aluminum FW I need to have something that can be used for DD so I'm thinking spec3 or spec3+ how haz the best prices?

EXEDY will have theirs out at the end of the month (Stage 3) which is used on the Time Attack Cobalts...

Centerforce will have theirs out soon also. BTW...the EXEDY kit comes with a flywheel. There have been LOTS of problems with Clutchmasters and their clutches so I would be skeptic on that. Then the SPEC springs hubs I think are beginning to have issues after some time.

I'm thinking that the Exedy clutch will not be a good choice for a DD. I think that it will be WAY to harsh of an engagement to drive normally. From what I have heard from others, a 4 puck disc will be about the same. Almost have to dump the clutch every time you drive otherwise it'll wear out and cause damage. Those things are meant for racing, not driving. As far as who to pick, Clutchmasters has been having MAJOR problems lately. Haven't heard all that much about SPEC, which makes me lean towards them. I've had a flywheel sitting in my closet for almost a year waiting to see which is the best clutch. The jury's still out in my book and I'm still waiting.

Good call Jason.

I'm just worried that someone's going to buy that thing thinking they can drive on it like the stock one and then start talking about their 'lemon' car once the clutch goes out in 5000 miles from being used in a way that's not designed.

Actually I heard the 6 puck is supposed to be a little nicer than a 4 puck, thats why the CM FX400, you have the choice between the two pucks. Several people have the 6 puck CM FX400 and said it really isn't that bad. Ask Dan, granted it was a pain in the ass to get the thing installed right, it isn't all that horrible of a shift.

I was about to get a clutcha a while ago, but I'm glab I'm going to wait a bit now. I would lean towards the Spec Stage 3 six puck clutch. But, I have no idea how long it would last as a weekday driver and a weekend racer...
