Im running that exact setup. I was running the Sp00n tune but my car was getting massive knock so I stepped down to the stock staged tune. It runs good. If you run 93 gas, (which I dont have) You can add a degree or 2 of timing in the higher rpms. But the car runs good with that setup too.

Interesting.......Any idea of how much more power w/ the 2.8 over the 3.0 w/ the stock tune....I guess what I am really saying is it worth the $100 for the pulley with stage 2 tune???

The only problem with the 2.8" is that it causes your injector duty cycle to be over 100%, mine was at 109%. The car ran fine and was even still on the rich side. Although many people are using this setup without a problem, I'm not comfortable with my idc going so high so I went back to the 3.06" pulley.

If you are planning on buying the 2.8" let me know because I am thinking about selling mine.

I dont know the difference in power it yields because I have never had a 3.0 pulley, but the car runs super strong. Im running about 17psi on a good cold night. I know its a lot faster than a Redline with the Intense Stage 3, and thats all that matters!!! (Sorry Jon)

my question to that though is... is that just above a certain RPM? i would imagine just crusing and shifting at 3k would be perfectly fine??? but when u punch it and bring revs up... when is it maxing out the injectors?? im thinking same setup but dont really bring revs up past 4500 all that often unless showing off LOL.. dont they make a 2.9 pulley?( i know not to match GM hub) maybe spend the money and be in the middle and save the injectors a lil strain??

It's fine for everyday driving, it's only when you floor it and bring the rpm's up near redline that they are maxed out.

Yea they do... Try this.... Make sure that you are logging injector duty cycle, then just floor it in 2nd and go to the rev limiter. Check your log and look and behold the injector duty cycle hits 104 with the GM stage kit tune and pulley. So, it might get there a bit earlier but the stage injectors do hit over 100 percent duty cycle.....

dynoing a ricer is like beating off. it seems fun at the time, but theres really no point.

I like the one on eaby that fits the gm hub...makes it easier to swap it out if i take it in for service...no puller needed, just the four bolts
