How do I remove silencer from factory Intake???

Is it possible? If so how do I remove the silencer from the factory intake!!! Any info is grateful thanks guys!!

Silencer...isn't it just some sound deadening material wrapped around the intake tubing???

pretty much...watts said i can take my front bumper off..wasnt very easy as I tryed it but ran out of daylight..I am looking for more sound now lol..i am still waiting on my kn cai. any info on how to do this?

Well, if you're waiting on the K&N, what's the point of taking the material off?

As far as the bumper, it's easy to take off...there's a few screws (4?) holding the center/front of the fascia just under the hood (can't miss them). Take the headlights out (2 elbow pins ea.), corner markers (1 screw ea.) and then pull the plastic clips off the front fascia from the bottom and up into the wheel wells (think there's 1 or 2 screws in the wheel well too). After that, it's all about finesse in finagling (sp?) the right and left sides of the fascia off it's hooking post (where the quarter panel meets the fascia). If you look in there, you'll see what I'm talkin' about and you'll see which way you need to shift the thing to get it around the post (fascia is the hook).
