^could also mean that air is more turbulent.

another note...I also had a chance to do a HP v RPM reading (which is based mostly on MAF)
K&N=240hp
STOCK=247hp

I think we need more comparisons to get a real judge on things, but I'd much prefer they done with the RPM's in numerical order, lol.

^dunno...i jsut wanted to get it at the same temperatures and running conditions. The ambient temp ahs a HUGE effect on MAF lb/min... this morning it was 61° and i was only able to get 26ish lb/min.

Another note, oh yea...the reason the numbers arent in order on the rpm's is becasue its a second to third gear run.

i think MAF lb/min is the most accurate measurement of how much air is going into the engine.
more lb/min = more Manifold Absolute Pressure (PSI)

I'm thinking a dyno session with these comparisons would be a more scientific approach, that's all man. More info is always good.

which is why im buying HPT to have at home...log everything all at once...

i tried to control the variables that i had control over. Hence, the hour between runs. To keep the weather conditions as similar as possible. I did both runs at WOT, on the exact same road, with the exact same warm up routine (go down street (check for cops), u-turn, go back, u-turn, then WOT!).

...you know...if we did that, and ensured the exact same operating conditions. We could claim false advertising on K&N for selling a product claiming "14 extra horse power (on a civic, w/ a leaking bottle of NOS placed inadvertently near the front of the car...lol)"
