another random thought...

i measured the K&N tubing...its 3" internal diameter throughout.
i measured the stock intake tubing and MAF housing:
tubing is a little over (like 1/16") 3", and the MAF is tapered.
The MAF starts out as 3 1/4" inside the filter, then tapers to 3" internal diameter at the end of the housing.

The length of the K&N tubing (from filter to Throttle Body)...is approx. 4'
The length of the STOCK tubing (from filter to TB)...is approx. 2'

4' does seem a little excessive, doesn't it?

im sure it has some purpose...i mean if you want to get into the whole length tuned intake and exhaust tuning (having to do with sound waves and how fast they travel through your intake and exhaust...and you try to match up the waves so they work with each other instead of bouncing off of each other...TMI, i kno...)

but half the distance for air to travel before it hits the MAF...prolly has benefits over the K&N (besides the water leaking directly into your filter)

The supercharger itself is gonna mess with how any intake length tuning worked quite a bit. Tuning after the supercharger would make more sense than before.
