2.2 to 2.0 swap, a few qs

If i had engine, tranny, ecu, wireing harnes. Could i use my stock axles? If not will the 2.0 axels fit my hubs? I have a 2004 ion 3. Also will my cruise controle and all that stuff work, will i run into any issues with not haveing ABS?

Sell your car and get a RL. It will be a lot less hassle and trouble that you are going to go through. My 2 cents

I already have about 8,000-10,000 in mods, in my car. Ill swap before i sell.

I know a lot of that stuff i can swap over, but it would be the same amount of trouble to put in the engine. Unless there are major tranny to axle to hub issues. + it will cost me 3250 for the whole swap, ide have to pay at leat 5g for a redline, and this setup comes with a lsd. Also it my buddies will charge me alot less to work on a motor thats not in the car. I plan on building the bottom end and tranny, before i drop it in.

And Then my G/F said she dosnt want me to buy another saturn. She dosnt like it because its always laid up, because im in the process of turning it into a race car. She dosnt understand, any car i own will become a race car, and be laid up in my garage some times. When i point out the fact that my CRX runs less than my saturn she dosnt complain :-/ Weird.


anyways

Suspension:
- FE2 Rear Axle
- Eibach Springs
- Progress rear sway bar
- Bwoody Traction bars
- Bwoody end links
- torque dampener
- JS strut tower brace
- Redline front sway bar

Brakes/wheels:
- SSBC Disk brakes, Front and Rear conversion
- Falken wheels/Tires 4 BOLT


Tranny:
- Alu. Flywheel (not inststalled, 2.0 swap pending)
- SPEC 2+ clutch (not inststalled, 2.0 swap pending)
- Quafe Limited Slip Differential (Not installed, return pending.)

Engine:
- AEM Cold air intake
- Big bore Throttle body
- Cat back exhaust
- faberglass hood, i have it made but i still need to sand it down and make mounting brackets.

Interior:
- Recaro Sears
- TWM Shortshifer

System:
- Punch 1200w 4chan amp
- 4 Boston SP65 6.5”
- Pioneer Premier DEH-P960MP

also got a 1500w 2 chan but i pulled it out untill i make a faberglass subbox with 1 speaker that can handle the power well.

rather than doing a full swap, why dont you just build the fuck out of the motor already in there? seems like pistons/rods/lsj head/and a few other things would be an easier route.

and no i dont think your axels will work, and i dont believe the RL axels will work for you either. there was a guy on here not long ago trying to sell an f35 tranny b/c he bought it with the same intentions, ran into the same problems, and he didnt want to have axels custom made.

deff see why you wouldnt want to trade her in for an RL though, you have alot of time and money into that car it looks like.

btw, how are those big breaks, i have been eyeballing those for quite a while

Sounds more like you need a turbo in your future, not an LSJ.

i saw a 2.2 cavi, with a turbo, an lsj head, and a stand alone, runn in the 11's.
