What posessed you to do that? Don't get the wrong impression and get scared about it, but intense isn't exactly a favorite here...

I'm stating all facts to the best of my knowledge. the intense stage tunes have been known to cause engine failure. Secondly you could've made so much more power for that amount of money. im guessing that you didnt do a search before you bough the intense stage did you? I'm not bashing intense because they have some good products but IMHO thier stage tunes are NOT among those products tht are worthy.

just curious... how many people have their tunes.. and how many have had problems (realted or unrelated to their actual tunes)

I have seen their tunes and they are not all that different from what people are doing themselves.

The horrer stories are soo much louder than anything else.. so that's all you end up hearing.

I've wondered the same. Anyone with HPT could see what their tunes are and know what the problem would be, no?

Yes, and they are very similar to what I have created for myself, and I have no problems at all. This makes me seriously doubt that the tune wrecked the few that have had engine problems.

Don't get me wrong, I would reccomend a dyno tune any day over a boxed one, but that is not always an option, and I see nothing dangerous really about the Intense tunes.

Have you seen the parameters on all 5 stages? Did the people with the problems all have one specific stage?

dont listen to all the bs man. intense is a good company, a supporting vendor, and they have excellent customer service! i buy from them often, though i have never run one of thier tunes. their kits are just fine, other than the fact that their tunes are done in ohio... so unless you are at similar elevation and whatnot you may encounter slight "issues." Its really no big deal man, i would be suprised if thier tune blows your motor up , but i do suggest getting the car dynoed and the A/F ratio checked out imediatly after installing the kit, and if there are any problems, just contact them and they will take care of whatever it may be im sure, like i said excellent customer service.

Belive me theis are nothing wrong with the Intense tunes,I have been running some form of an Intense tune with tweaks from a recomended Stage kits installer of theirs, here in Ct.in my car since it had 1600 miles on it,my last dyno as most know was over 260,Intense knows what their doing,I have been to their shop in Ohio, they are a 1st class operation, and if your unsatisfied they will refund your money. This thing about the Intense tunes being no good is just one of those urban legion type things, they don't exist,my one bit of advise to the buyer of the Intense tune, make sure you have a better exhaust system and if your running a cat make sure it is not clooged,it's the main reason most people think their tune is no good the increased cylinder air pressure your car developes, gives you all kinds of problems, good luck with your new tune, one more point,I also recomand that with any canned tune, you go to a dyno, and dial it in to your car and your geographical enviorment, that will make your tune work it's best, remember you will need someone with HPT,and the knowldge to do this.....50iddy PS. anyone in Ct. can contact me direct, and I can have this done for you at a competitive price.
