Best exhaust setup per size?

I probabally didn't title this correctly, but what I'm trying to get a breakdown of is what the best setup is, part specific, per exhaust size? I know its all over the forums but it'd be nice to get more specific... For example, I think I want to go with the 2.5" setup... so what would be my best Header, downpipe, high flow cat, and cat back for a 2.5" setup? also the same for 2.75" and 3" etc.... Thanks !

there's a sticky in here all about exhausts, you should check it out. The bigger the diameter=more top end. Smaller=low end/midrage.

Unless you plan on going turbo, I would go with a 2.5". My setup is as follows: Vibrant header (2.5" flange) Vibrant DP, (2.5" flange) and magnaflow catback. (2.5") My exhaust flows very nicely. Well, it did before I believe I blew up the internals in my resonator.

That sounds about right as far as what I want to do.... random question but did you notice any mileage increase with the exhaust change? also how much did this setup cost... and one more thing, sorry, did the stuff all bolt up or did you need to do some welding?
