Front lower subframe brace - Installed pics

Allrighty another part.........I am not going to get into it with my previous parts, but a couple people said that I should try building my own shit, instead of copying others, so here it is

actually I guess that I should tell abit about it, it bolts directly to the A-arms, just need to install longer bolts so that they purtrude from the frame abit, and then put nylock nuts on the end of the bolt that passes through the bars base plates.

There are two 1" bars there, schedule 40 piping, with just over 0.125" thick steel walls, and the base plates are made of 1/4" thick stainless steel

Should be PLENTY strong enough.

Should help out alot in corners, this pic is when it was tack welded, I should have it installed in a day or two, so I will have more pictures then

Jer

PS) you impress the shit out of me. Always have since I saw your sl on TSN years back.

I can honestly say that your car was more influential for me getting a new saturn to make fast than any other car.

went on dealerworld and printed out the invoice.. ran vin incentive and saw all the rebates and dealer cash..

went to the dealer with my own finanacing done, i said here is a deal worked out paying for the advertising, however it is A net net deal.

and they thought about it for 2 days then called me.

and i told them its an old unit, and to give the salesman a 200$ spiff LOL

its been a great car so far, 26,000 and every mod has helped and the car runs amazing!

i love it. its so uneque, it looks nice, the interior is cool, all around great car

Jer,
Man that looks awesome?

You didn't don't find the need to make a mid-point connection between the two tubes?

Love the how it looks very strong, that thick ass plate connecting to the a-arm bolts should flex much...well I donno, your still getting load from the whole car. Have you thought about a thin plate to go behind it, so that the plate is bearing against the subframe, and not just the a-arm bolts?

When I build mine this winter, I'm going to have to have a different design. No copy-cats aloud!..haha..I want some feedback about how it feels on the road too. I remember the ol' cavs, it used to help with wheel hop.

You've already got traction bars on there, so wheelhop might be unnoticeable

Amen, and thank you sir. The chassis on this car is freakin terrible. A small enhancement like this should go a long way
