OUCH!!! That sux, When I was last here you were still building it. What kinda #'s were you putting down? I guess it's time to find a new block and build it even stronger. I think throttle has one...

Ya i need a block. I was still on break in...I had maybe 900 miles on the motor.

I fucked the block, the bed plate, the crank...everything. Ill need to yank the head to see if I damaged any of the #2 stuff.

Either way the new motor is being built out of the car.

I may try and do a 2.2 stroker...or go stock and trade it in...idk

Alpha...like i said in the css post I think a rod bearing failed. I was out tuning that night...after a 140 mph run we heard a noise that sounded like loose aero pieces. It got louder and the motor would die if clutch was pushed in. But we were on north end of town (bad part) so i kept driving until she puked her guts up 1 mile from home.

If i had stopped I might have salvaged the block but the crank woulda still been fucked. and u basically gotta yank motor to redoo crank

Anyone know of anyone that makes forged rods for us?

I'm just curious why you took it up to 140 on break in?

YOU CAN MAKE THE 2.2 EAGLE RODS WORK WITH SOME CUSTOM PISTONS. THEY WILL NEED TO RELOCATE THE PISTON PIN IN THE PISTON FOR THIS TO WORK. HENCE THE NEED FOR CUSTOM PISTONS. IT WILL CHANGE YOUR ROD TO STROKE RATION THOUGH IT WONT BE IN YOUR FAVOR. IN THEORY YOU WOUNT BE ABLE TO REV AS HIGH BUT YOU SHOULDNT NEED TO WITH THE INCREASED DISPACEMENT OF THE STROKER ENGINE.
