Reasons Why To Change The Fuel Filter....

Changed my fuel filter on my '07 with 19,315 miles on it & this was what came out:

Think it can go for 50-100k miles like Saturn says???? Probably could...but not the best idea.

Fuel for thought....no pun intended

I'll have a HOW-TO posted here:

http://www.redlineforums.com/forums/...tml#post563088

I did a search 2 days ago & from the posts I had found, no one even knew where it was or anything. And the how to on here sucked ass....so I posted my own

It's a really really really simple 10 minute job though

Is that what poured out of the fuel filter when you took it off? Or did that drain from the fuel lines once disconnected?

BP or Sunoco Premium (93 octane) all the time

That's what was in the filter....it doesn't matter though...it's just a good idea to change it yearly

That's what came out of the fuel filter...not the fuel lines.

I know it's doing it's job, but still that's some nasty stuff in there

All you need in life is two things: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use duct tape.

Installed: K&N CAI, B&M shifter, IRotor cross drill rotors, Hawk pads, Vector 940 (soon hardwired)
Next up: CTI over axle bend with magnaflow

exactly....I cringe at the thought

Mine had some floaties & you could see sand/dirt particles on the bottom too.

I would imagine that if the filter gets clogged up enough that it would start to have an impact on fuel flow....just doesn't hurt to do preventative maintenance
