Ours is not return style. Notice how the first pic's engine has two fittings coming out of the fuel rail

Notice how a stock one does not.

(only pic I could find without the fucking plastic rail cover)

The fact that it only has one fitting coming out means fuel enters, but never leaves. The second fitting in the first picture is the return line, which yours does not have, thus meaning it's returnless.

It would be nice if other members posted their hp improvements with this mod. I would like to speak for myself with the intent that others are thinking the same thing, this is a very significant mod if we just had a few more comments from those who purchased the kit.

Pls chime in..........some of us can't wait

This is not really a HP adder, it is more of a bottleneck remover. By getting rid of the pressure loss across the fuel rail on high fuel demand you are allowing all 4 cylinders adequate and even fuel delivery. I know several people who have converted to return style have had a major reduction in phantom spark knock as well as a minor power increase due to more consistant and even fuel delivery. I will be getting my return system in the next week or so and will be temporarily setting it at the stock pressure w/o the rising rate to do some datalogging of my own. I'll post up my findings as soon as it is in.

I have read that adding a return style on 60 lb injectors allows for easier tuning and the elimination of rough idle. This is my reason for doing it. The elimination of a weak spot (the fuel system) is a welcome bonus.

ok i did some research on the FPR's. the one listed above, made by aeromotive is about $140 to buy.

here is instructions of how it is supposed to be installed. *note the 3 fuel ports*
http://www.aeromotiveinc.com/pdf/13159.pdf

and then there is this holley FPR, and if you look at the diagram there are the 3 same ports. however, this one I can get for $50 on eBay brand new
http://www.holley.com/data/Products/.../199R10037.pdf

will these both work? i mean if the fittings aren't the same size for the lines, i can just get new, correct size ones. plus the holley comes set at 40psi from the factory, which is what we need.

what is -6AN anyways? a size?

except the whole $500 cost thing. lol, if you couldn't tell from the previous post I'm trying to put my own together, for cheap. fuel pumps are $100, FPR's are $50, the cavy fuel rails are $30, cheapo 2 way fuel filter $15, and lines i would guess would be around $100 max. lol ebristol i was hoping you would reply in here, figured you'd see eye to eye with me on piecing it together for $$cheap

Oh I agree that if you can peice it together yourself for a lot cheaper you should. If I were you I would continue to put your kit together until you have everything you need. Then compare that price to the OTT price. From where they have it priced now there is VERY little fudge room.

And I don't want to sound like a huge fan boy (ignore my sig for a sec! lol) but the customer service at OTT is phenomenal. If you buy the kit from them they will make sure you get it installed properly. They take out all the guess work and headaches.

ANYWAY

I'm interested to see what you come up with. You should look for the Return Style thread on the shortbus. There is a ton of good info in it.

Keep us updated.
