Thumbs down Go back to stock? Pics

I usually clean/replace my plugs once every 3 months, and they are always ridiculously black from running rich. But I just checked them tonight and the ground strap is completely white w/ the rest of the plug being black WTF?

I did change the pulley from a 2.8 to a 3.0 in the past 3 months. But if I go up in size shouldn't I be richer and the plugs be blacker, not white?

I'm thinking about throwing the stock plugs back in... I don't know what to do?

If its white you might be running slightly lean , with a 2.8 pulley your injectors might go static at higher rpm and cause your car to run lean. it would not be a good idea to go stock sparkplugs with a 2.8 pulley.

What heat range plugs do you have? I'd run BKR7E-IX. The non-iridiums work ok, but iridiums work better in our cars. Try em out.

my plugs look the same way, i guess i will have to try the iridiums. even though when i had them out it looked fine to me. mine did look a lot cleaner, i didnt have as much of the carbon build up.

Wait a tick, you ported the S/C and didn't change the tune at all? That MAY be causing your issue. I have seen some cars w/ trouble going lean w/ a ported S/C w/o a mild tune change.

You see that what I was thinking might be the problem. But it can't be, because I had Steigemeiers port it back in October. And I had the 2.8 on their till January , and I actually cleaned the bkr7e r's both in Oct and January, and both times the plugs were black as could be. But now 3 months after I went up 0.2 they are white. I have no idea why?

I'm going to pick up the bkr7e IX tomorrow though gap them at .35 and see how they are.
