that's pretty much what I just explained. what it comes down to is physics of fluids (yes, gas is considered a fluid).

nice article find BTW, i'll be even more impressed if you understand what it's saying and apply it ( I say that jokingly since most people don't retain these things, but simply regurgitate the facts )

this is a theory also used in getting exhaust out of the combustion chamber in a 2 cycle engine...well similar anyway...

The only problem in them is the use of the word backpressure... it's just improper useage. Backpressure is caused from air pressure exerting force to push it's way back in the exhaust tube in the moment between exhaust pulses. Bigger pipes actually promote technical 'backpressure', but that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about the ability for a fluid to be accelerated and moved through a tube. Those articles that you posted are dead on, I just hate that use of the word backpressure when talking about exhaust pipes.

Exactly. I just posted almost the exact same thing word for word over at Sixthsphere to explain it to member there as well. Most times, it's just using the wrong term.

Good to know I'm on the same page as someone else on here 8)

Sorry that the term fart can makes you sick. With me it has nothing to do with Hondas... they just happen to have more of them. Bottom line is if you're going to mod your car take some though and care on how it's going to look. Plan it out and do a good job with parts and placement. I see so many cars where they just put on a muffler without thinking about how it's going to look and actually have the muffler almost as a show piece and expose way too much of it. It's almost like showing it off.... big deal anyone can get a mufler. It's all about what the car can do.

Well I'm tired of people on here calling it fart can's. My car, i'll put whatever muffler I want. I personally think it looks better too.

Alot of people think neon lights look stupid and ricey, but alot of people have them on this forum..

What's more ricey in most people's eyes, neon lights or a bigger muffler? I dont know..Which one was all in fast n furious shining and blinking all over the place?!?!?!

basically what im saying is, it's your car do whatever you like. You like it, you like it. Someone else dont like it, they shouldnt have a say it's your ride. I'm sick of people calling it a fart can and saying my car is rice. You people with neon (you know who you are) is extremely rice. That is almost the ricest thing you can do beside's a lot of stickers.

My two cents..take it how you want..

I agree. Read above and you see I never said not to do it. I merely expressed my oppinion on the topic just like you just did.
I personally don't like the look... you do. That's why we have different shapes and colours of things. Do what you want but don't expect me to keep my oppinion to myself.

Can't we all just get along ;-)

so do you still plan on going to the dyno now or after possibly replacing the piping?

I'm curious as to what it puts down at this point.
