Based on the internal specs I'd say hell yeah. Just getting there can be a bitch.

when i spoke to a few of the gm performance division they said we are good for up to or just over 400 hp on stock. anything over would most importantly require rods and pistons.

from what little i've read, you'd probably have to do some upgrades to the fuel system to handle the extra air

There are probably about half a dozen companies claiming to have kits on the verge of release for another 6psi. This has been talked about to death on these boards.

as is stated, the engine has no beef with the boost, it's purely tricking the computer into running right with it. probably using a better MAP sensor to be able to interpret the higher boost

I also wondered about using a map clamp and just using the MAF sensor, bigger injectors and a piggy back to get the correct fuel.

I finished a Saturn Tech Training class last wek. I was talking to the instructor about the Redline; He told me he watched a Stock Redline push 16lbs of boost down in Spring Hill. So apparently with the right tuning this is possible without add ons... probably helps when you can program the computer anyway you want to.
