I was trying to do this today actually so i'll try to fill you in. On a lot of Redlines, not just 04 mines fucked up too, the wiring on the aftercooler pump is backwords...meaning, the negative is going to the positive and vise versa. It's a little tricky to fix by urself, i couldn't do it at least. I'm taking it into the shop tomorrow. By doing it, the aftercooler will become more efficient and will cool down the air better which will help performance in hot weather.

I live in San Francisco, it gets hot maybe 2 weeks of the year and when it does get hot. I'm talking 80-90. The rest of the year it gets to about 65-70 steady. Should I still do the mod? I'm swaying towards yes but fill me in. There was a point I wasnt on the forum for about a month and half. This discovery must of been when I was gone.

Yah i think you should...especially if your planning on getting a smaller pulley. Then it is a must. It will still help performance just...minimally when it is 70-80. Plus its not hard to fix and the dealership should do it for free and itll probably only take them 30 mins max to do everything. Just drop it off, go across the street to buy some lunch then come back with a more efficient supercharger system.

This isn't a mod, this is something that was wired wrong from the factory. Bad wiring = bad results. Get it fixed. Either from Saturn, or somewhere else...

How can you tell if the cooler is wired correctly or not? Wire colors? Location?

in the front of the engine on the pass. side you cant miss it. the black and white is ground and black is hot. look on the pump and ull see the + sign that faces the rear of the car. make sure that the solid black wire is in that spot.

you can either cut the wires and rehook them correctly or you can unsnap the connector and take a pick or something really small and rmove both the pins and switch them (best way and cleaner). just be patient with the clip to not break it. and dont do it late at night its a pain in the ass you cant see and start to get irritated (sp) really quick.

u cant just flip the connector upside down. Theres a little groove that doesn't allow it to go in all the way. You could take a drill and shave it down but thats risky, i tried but got too nervous when i slipped and broke the drill bit. I'm going to have my friend at the dealership to do it.
