the 3800 super chargers sometimes end up making that noise. what we have done is replaced the whole charger. a friend of mine has seen rebuild kits for them on ebay but thats for the 3800. and not to mention don't you have a WARRANTY?

I occassionally get the "can of marbles" rattle but I'm not certain that it's the SC. It's only at idle but is rather loud & seems to be on the passenger side. Saturn "could not duplicate".

yeah, mine started making that sound too. It sounds like bearings or like a scraping sound, Not to loud you have to pop the hood to hear it. I geuss i should take it in. I just never put my ear that close to the blower so i just thought it was making the sound the whole time. How many miles are on your car? Ive got 6100 on an 04>

I believe that it is the S/C but in a normal kind of way. By that I mean; I was checking in a brand new off the truck and heard a rattling type noise so I compared it to another one-same thing, mine-same thing. The two we had here at the shop have been sold and have several thousand milles now and have not been in for any S/C trouble.

Hope this helps!

Sure it's coming from the SC and not the chatter from the gears?

Yea, my buddy's has that same rattling noise, but we didn't notice it until after the DUB pulley install. AntiSatan is your car stock? I told him to take it in, but they screwed up the old pulley. I'm pretty sure the warranty will be voided once they see the DUB pulley on the blower. I'm curious to know if this rattling is "normal".
