cooling?

So I went autocrossing this weekend and my supercharger coolant got extremely hot. It wasnt to hot out there either. So I was wondering what you all do to keep the coolant cool and do you think installing a coolant temp gauge for the supercharger coolant would be worth while.

I've thought about a coolant sensor in the intercooler circuit myself. At least until we can get the post blower intake temps. Where would you put something like that though? Could you just tap a coolant line and use some sort of fittings? Is there a place to tap the heat exchanger, preferably after it comes out of the exchanger.

The real issue is doing something about it. Heatsoak is a killer on power...

How do you know that it is getting really in the first place? Mine never gets past the hot line at auto-x or track days. The hottest I have run in has been in the low 90's

Ya as far as I know. I went to do the wiring mod and found that the wiring was the right way so? The only thing I didnt notice is if the fluid was moving. Come to think of it I dont think I have ever seen the fluid move, other than rise up the tub.

are you sure that the wires is as follows:

solid black wire is towards the rear of the car

black wire with white strip is towards front of car.

all of the cars on here have the reversed. it would be amazing if yours was correct. what year is your car?

If the coolant never moves, it's probably wired incorrectly. You might want to try some Watter Wetter too. I use it in there and seem to be getting cooler temps.

I know for a fact that mine is wire incorrectly and I still dont have any problems.

When you are auto-xing turn off your engine and open the hood between runs, unless you hot lapping. You can also try removing the insulation under the hood. I did that and found my engine cools quicker.

hell between runs just turn all the nobs for you air to the left w/o shutting off the car and it will cool off the car HELLA fast alot faster than opening the hood. hell do both.
