uh coz no vibration i imagine, and some folks wanna buy GM (good for them) and have a lot of money to spend (sad for you if they go somewhere else) I have used and tested the LNF mounts. Took them out...
GM get on a bit of a arrogant streak sometimes, and despite what their own engineers say, the autocratic "not invented by me" guys in charge do it their way....they are learning, but it took 17 billion of your money to get them to wake up.
By the way John Heinricy understood and thats why he let me do the race cobalts that way once i showed him the results of our analysis and the work of a young engineer in charge of Cobalt integration in 03 04, who was so good working with us on the Cobalts that was one reason why he got to do the new Camaro. And he is a drag racer , this is an awesome guy and typical of the fine engineers at GM; Heinricy then got Grand Am to approve the rotated mount modification in December 04 for the 05 racing season...
another issue that no one has noticed is that the outer boots fail as the grease heats up in road racing if the engine is not rotated...in drag racing the heat build up is over only a 1/4 mile or 14 seconds or less so boot failure in unrotated engines does not show up. Buit Roush do the same thing, for drag racing its all in the GM build book. Enjoy that book they wont be doing another one for a long time. Merry Christmas Aaron.
