However, I still feel that the price point is a good 100-150 above what is really fair for what you get - you ship them your 2 mounts, they push in 2 inserts and ship them back with a little aluminum spacer. How they think that's worth $400 is anyone's guess.
dainslaif that is TOTALLY UNTRUE. No aluminium; you are vastly understating what goes into to them as YOU DONT KNOW. So. summary. remove oem insert. Clean up or replace donor mount. Replace with new machined material insert; there are three different od sizes in production. Return to machine shop for further machining. Insert new special not available for purchase from GM OEM style bushing. Watercut T 6061 Keyhole spacer. Assemble with kit 8 METAL spacers ( alloy will collapse in this application.)

Put up with bs from guys like you who should know better: priceless

It's amazing how fast costs add up at machine shops to get work done. I did not realize all the steps involved in "fixing" the mounts. I'd love to get them cheaper, but the price is probably not way out there for the work needed.

I used to work at a machine shop, and its a dirty job - every cent you pay those guys to keep yourself clean is worth the penny, it comes back a brand new refabricated part which your proud to put back on your car Theyr alot easier to deal with, alot more personable then any dealership would treat you if theyr install failed. Its a dying breed too, Machine shops are going under because crate engine cars like our 4bangers, there is no maching involved or required any more when you can just buy it cheap and brand new from OEM... If you have a local machine shop I highly suggest you support them with theyr prices (high or not) and get your head port n polished, they enjoy doing that inbetween projects.

my $.02

Sounds about right...

Or you could buy my ZZP Solid Lower Motor Mounts for $180 shipped OBO and elimiate wheel hop but deal with engine vibs.

FS: TTR Top Engine Mount & ZZP Lower Trans Mounts

Notice how I have OBO bolded? Does everyone know what OBO means? If not it means OR BEST OFFER.

I know what OBO means, I have also done the poly inserts before. I hated the vibs in my DD. I do not hop around right now but I would like to launch harder and get smother shifts when I auto-x. But poly is not for me.

I know what you mean.

I sold my TTR Top engine mount but I still have the ZZP lower mounts installed.

I was amazed at how much better I can hear my exhaust now that I don't get all of the vibs from the top mount.

But poly is definatly not for every one.
