its possible to ruin some with diaphrams, but the new synchronic supposedly isn't really affected by heat, since it is a metal piston, and the materials that it's made of

The z is back to n/a for now. I may or may not turbocharge it again. Another thing you may want to think of is the use of an intercooler fmic or water. I read somewhere that a bov on the non intercooled side will ruin it for the amount of heat.
im going to be using the stock water-air intercooler... it's been doen a few times and has shown to have pretty good results each time

i was thinking of using a fmic, the stock one, and methanol injection all together...
Thats a good route to go paul did that and was seeing some pretty good results... ill probably add a FMIC later down the road but my starter kit will use the stocker...
boost Ive been looking at it and it really won't be much more to just go air to air, you can get an intercooler off cxracing's ebay store pretty cheap so piping would be the main cost.

you could run an air to air with the water to air but in order for the air to air to reach peak efficiency you would need to remove the stock intake manifold/IC and replace it with a new intake manifold...
matter of fact, im going to add this to the top post, look out for some new info there.
would the hahn downpipe work, for example if i bought the stage 2 kit for the cobalt ss/sc and fabricated IC piping?
Yes but you would end up paying more as you would need to buy IC piping, intercooler (optional), and an S/C delete kit, along with the alternator, larger idler pulley, shorter belt, and alternator bracket... and the hahn stage 2 already costs over $2300... the other parts would put you close to $3K for a kit you could have built for half of that.
also, what is a good size turbo that could make a reliable 300-350whp and spool before 4000 rpm? i'm still learning turbo sizing, sorry! been looking at garrett gt30 series and this one Garrett T3/TO4E 50 trim w/ .63 a/r
