i think those turbos on ebay for about $400 are replicated ripoffs from china.. otherwise why would hahn and other trusted venders be selling these things for almost $1000?

question about the saab turbo manifold, is the turbine inlet flange a t3 bolt pattern? wondering if a gt3071r bolt up to that beast

nm, after some searching found that the inlet flange on that saab turbo manifold is a 3bolt pattern, would have to machine a 3 bolt to t3 4 bolt pattern plate for it to work with a decent sized turbo. but then once the turbo is boltable to the mani, there might be clearance issues

That whole alternator thing was a little unclear....

do you HAVE to get a new alternator and every turbo LSJ has done it OR did one person do it that way?

you have to, iirc our alternator spins in the opposite direction.

I know the 2.2s alternators are on the wrong side....I was thinking the 2.4s were on our side, idk.....

yeah you have to get a 2.2 alternator...

i wonder if it would be possible to machine some type of bracket and pulley to put in place of the pulley of the supercharger or if anyone has tried that.

it seems the only place you would be able to mount it though is to the 2 bolts holding the alternator on and they are long enough as it is... just a thought
