Post How do i remove the front bumper cover?

Alright I know theres a post on here somewhere. Theres a damn post for everything on here. but i cant find it so i am just gonna ask. It will save me the time of figuring it out myself. I am purchasing a HE from ZZP next week so i am just doin a little home work first. What does it take to remove the front bumper cover on our cars?

a little bit of time, but not hard.

Take all the poppers out of each wheel well and under the front of the car.

Take the outside A pillar pieces off like your doing the antenna mod on each side of the car. That will release the bolt up there. take out the poppers on top where the body meets the frame under the hood. Take the running boards off i believe so you can remove all poppers connected to the quarter panels.

Not difficult. I took it off and put it back on myself

umm you dont have to take the a pillar or the runners off to take the bumper cover off. Remove the inner fender wells where they are connected to the bumper. There are four screws under the hood. Then are some splash shield under the car. Then it will just pop off from the sides and then slides right off.

just take your time and make sore that all of the fasteners are off before yanking on it...it should only take a few mins to get it off and on....made it super easy to mount the cobra h/e with it off.

The 1st thing you see when you open the hood^
4 screws go into the headlight brackets, just ahead of the core support.

Damn, a rivet? I dont remember a rivet on there. Mine was all screws and plastic retainers. Are you sure you that isn't a bracket you can just take off with the cover? Can't really tell by the pic what it is. Mine came of with a few pulls after taking off the screws and retainers.

Just make sure not to loosen the top screws till the end. That way you can hold on to the bumper and it wont just fall to the ground.

Also when you but the cover back on make sure you slide it into the slots behind, or under, the side markers. If you dont the bumper will stick out a bit. It will be really noticable near the top corners and right where the cover meets the hood.
