so I took an injector out

I wanted to see if I could fit some 50 lb injectors I had on there, sadly I can not.

Well heres what I can gather from the injector (maybe we can find out what size it is)

It is made by a company called Siekema Deka

GM part number appears to be 12790827

I can buy it online but it just says "injector"

Maybe someone can track down more info?

Anything in specific? Any data I can give you from my gauge to help you? I think the only thing it checks from the injectors is the MS pulse time... Either way, I'm bored on the net for hours at a time, and with the monsoons finally coming, I'll have some time later!

The tech at my local dealer told me that he and some buddies added and "extra" injector and took a 180 hp baseline to 206 hp. Where and how would you add an "extra" injector?

In a normal car, you would add it in either the intake manifold, or the intake itself. I think... Basically what a wet shot of N20 is...

I've seen some kits for turbo or superchargers that place an extra injector after the blower/turbo that comes on under hard boost.

It's a Siemens Deka type fuel injector. I think they make 4 or 5 different styles?

The green body on the redline injectors indicates to me that our injectors are the Siemens Deka IV injectors. They're available in a pretty large array of pressures and spray patterns. But, I wouldn't have a clue what the pressure rating of the stock injectors is... You can probably dig up more info by punching in the specific model number on the Siemens web site.

EDIT: I couldn't find much on the Siemens website. I did find this info on the Synerject website: http://www.synerject.com/fuelinjectors.html

Synerject specializes in direct injections systems on smaller engines... Go-Karts, 2-Stroke scooters, lawn mowers, etc... They actually are a pretty darned innovative company...

Anyway, I'm pretty darn sure that the models of Siemens Deka injectors they have on that page is all that Siemens offers.

Anyone else in the know, feel free to correct me, as I could be way off...

I could be wrong but I had a few mustang guys one night ask to look under the hood. They saw the injectors and said they look like the same injectors some of the new cobra's have. They also said they look to be the same as some other injectors that the mustangs use.

Just thought maybe some of that info might help....

I would say by the amount of boost you can run with these little motors that they are probly the 42.5lb injectors
