Weapon-R intake

Well..I never did find a dyno printout for the Weapon-R intake, but I figured I'd give them a chance (I also have a K&N Typhoon I was given for free..don't ask) and plopped down the cash for them tonight. I know my car dynoed at 210WHP dead stock so we'll pop it on the car and then run it..afterwards I'll let the car adjust to the new intake and then redyno..thank god my buddy owns it.

sound good. Do a dyno run, install the unit dyno run, then take it back off and final run. That will give us a great idea. try all in same day.,

Haven't been following as close, just want my car to run right now...

But, Weapon R has mad a CAI?
Also, the NOPI page lista CAI and a short Ram for the car made by AEM. Has AEM also made a CAI now?

Thanks...

I'm pretty sure they haven't made a CAI..I'm going for short ram style for now, but I might install the K&N CAI later..depending on how a few things go. I'm not sure how many dyno runs I'll be able to squeeze out of him since he's letting me do them for free and taking time out of his business to do this for me..

AEM decided to go ahead and develop a CAI, we had a thread a while back asking for another test car

what happened to the comaro you were going to do?

have you actually ran the weapon-r? i'm wondering how it is compared to another short ram because of the design (is it even 3.5 inch piping, does it really have that extra tube running in the middle?)

well..I love the looks of the K&N, but I have a problem with them and actually refuse to run their products...if only BMC made a air filter for our car..but alas..for this test we'll run the K&N once as well just to see what the diffs. are between a full CAI and the short ram..though I'll end up using the Weapon-R on my car.

As far as the inside of the intake goes..it does have the extra piping. A buddy of mine has one of their intakes on his RX-7 and he loves it..it performs well on his turbo.

i already did the testing there is almost no difference dyno or otherwise. less than 1 hp between the weapon r and the k&n yes i said that. the aem actually was down about .4 hp in a few areas ther was so little difference i didnt bother doing a full writeup about it.
