Alpine type r or type x components. I have the type R and they're really clean and haven't distorted at any volume yet...Also...have to make sure the amp can handle the speaker. Your amp should slightly overpower your speakers (but of course you shouldn't put the full juice to them)

infinity kappa perfects in the doors. You need a 3/4 inch spacer or your magnet will meet the window and trust me they are not friends.

image dynamics or oz audio are two f my fav's i have been in the car audio bus for 14 years. i feel that no one company makes everything great maybe good but not great. all of the brands such as clarion pioneer alpine etc... are decent speakers but there are better for the price, no offense to anyone owning these. if you can find them the image dynamics blow most anything away. and oz is a close second. cdt audio, crystal autosound, focal, dynaudio, morel are also some of the best out there. these are speaker companies that specialize in speakers only. sorry goofy i stopped dealing with infinity a while back (some years now) once they decided to start making sound quality suffer for looks and advertising. they still sound good but they are not anything of what they used to be just like advent. by the way both of these companies are harmon international brands..........(jensen).

I've always been a HUGE fan of higher end Boston Acoustics components and Polk Audio components...

In my opinion after doing Car audio for a LONG (bout as long as zfactor) time, these two companies make some of the most musical speakers out there... Others may sound better to an RTA... But screw that...

An RTA love flat frequency response, but there is a problem when using that as a deciding factor in buying speakers. MB Quart still to this day makes some of the flattest response speakers out there... But to the human ear they are very shrill and tinney... Reproducing almost too much audio information.

My only real reccomendation is to follow YOUR ears... After all, you are the one who has to listen to it at 120+db~!!

If it sounds phenominal to you, then nothing else really matters.

I guess if I HAD to pick a winner between the Boston's and the Polk's... MAN it's tough, but probably the Boston's...

Anyway, best of luck in your find!

I cant afford ID products. I know they have the sound but the price is way to much for my daily enjoyment. The kappa perfects fit the bill. In my s10 I never had any problems winning SQ comps with them.
