You're all over shit. You've dropped more money on parts in the last two weeks than I've spent in 3 months... If I had the money that you have to spend on the car, I would be! I've got an old Corvette that I have to split time with though. Its funny that my Corvette stuff is cheaper than the Saturn stuff. I am buying the pulley right now though. I'll drop that before the tires. After seeing what other people are running out there, I need those tires before anything else. I should get them before the pulley too, but what can I say! I can't even get all my power to the ground right now, let alone with all that torque from the Psi-Fi kit...

There is no way the upgrades GM is going to offer is going to overcome what we are going to get from independant vendors. It hasn't happened yet with any of Gm's cars so I am skeptical that with the Cobalt/RL they would do anything different. Whatever GM can do with the ECU SOMEONE will be able to do and possibly better. The warranty is not really concerning me at this point since I only have about 12k left on it as is.

Well, the fact that GM has control over the ECU, and other people cannot do anything with it, is pretty tempting, you don't agree Clown?

Funny you should mention that.

The Cobalt road race build up was a stock header with 3" pipe to the back. No Cat! To me a bang for the buck system would be the stock exhaust mainfold ported with a 3" down pipe, no cat and stock cat back. I can tell you from my experiance with DSM's a cat test pipe is good for about 3 tenths and 3 MPH at the drags. This is with a tubo though so YMMV.

I would imagine that once GM starts to unlock it, the secret will leak as well to the prying public

I agree that they will offer something, I am saying I am not going to wait for something GM MIGHT do sometime in the future when there are options currently and I know someone will crack the ECU and we will have far more options available to us in that regard. I do not think this news is any reason to wait. I mean this still isn't really even hard evidence of anything.

Agreed - Talk is cheap. I'm going for the Psi kit, and if GM comes out with something better then I guess I'll just have to sell the Psi stuff. For now all this is is "rumour".
