Installed Autometer Shift Light

Finally got my Autometer shift light and boost gauge in. I still have to install the air fuel gauge this week some time. To install the shift light I needed to use the tach generator. The first pic is of the module and some of the wiring at the coil packs.

BTW, for those wondering, the tach module works perfectly.

Ya, I figure if I ever bounce off the rev limiter now, then I'm really not paying any attention. Having that shift light really makes it quite obvious how inaccurate our tachs actually are. They're definitely a few 100 rpm behind what the engine is actually doing.

Yup! Could't think of anywhere else to mount it.

During the day with light cap on, you can barely notice it. At night it works awesome. I can't imagine using it at night with the cap off it though...

You might want to tape those wires up. It would suck to lose the setup over wires shorting out.

Maybe I should clarify... That first pic is just of the install in progress. I recall someone else having an Autometer shift light that needed to be installed and I though a pic of the wires for the coil packs would be helpful.

After that module was wired and soldered in, all the wires were put back in the split loom, then retaped and put back to it's original position. The module itself sits just behind the fuse box. I'd take a pic, but it looks just like stock now.

Thanks for the concern guys, but you needn't worry. I'm not a hack when it come to wiring.
