Big Brake Upgrades

Not sure if this has been posted before, but it looks like at least 1 outfit has brought out a 12" brake upgrade for the Redline and Cobalt SS

They're Red Line only brakes. 5 lug.

I agree these look great, but other than the Grand Am Cup Cobalt SS teams, has anybody actually demonstrated a need for a braking system like this? Just an honest question from somebody who would rather see practical, cost-effective braking system or even general vehicle upgrades that would improve overall performance for the typical IRL/SS owners. i.e. stainless brake lines, improved heat range pads for track days, hacked ECU code, etc. etc. etc. Discuss amongst yourselves...

"Disc brake kit with Force 10 SportTwin 2-Piston Aluminum calipers and 12" rotors. For ION Red Line (5 lug) only." To me, those look like, what an 1" larger up front? (probably wrong), if the rear is the same size well then, but really, arn't our front brakes big enough, I mean, there huge.

For the average IRL/CSS driver, these are going to be cosmetic upgrades mainly. Our brakes are extremely good right now, and on a performance oriented vehicle, would be the last thing I would upgrade. Ask sp00ner about his day at the road course and see what he though of our stock brakes.
