I bought mine like right when i got my car in 2007 theere were no talks bout ls4 then. It was either stay stock or bore the stock one out....me and a few other guys had actually bought and installed the sms big bore.

I bought it for $330 with a core so it costed $175. I noticed and still do notice throttle difference and no tuning was required.

I can vouch for it, Had one on my 06 Cobalt ss and my low end was way better, Throttle responce was instant! Better mid range but top end was about the same... Although it did get to it's top end alot faster :-P

Car's gone now.. Not my doing!

the ls4 was too touchy (maybe it was my tuner) I stuck with my SMS bored one and I like it better.
