why do you think 2nd would not grab? its a brisk 60* out tonight
and i got on it, but it didn't accellerate right, and i pulled into the driveway and it seems like i'm smelling toasted clutch? i just rolled over ~3100 miles this week. is it possible for me to be needing a new clutch this soon?

umm it's possible. Do you do a lot of launches and burnout's? If you do them often it's highly possible.

I have 15k miles and launch atleast once a week.

Yeah I had teh same type of problem around 2800 miles; it may be a defect in the disk. Though 3000 miles sounds kind of light even if you abuse the clutch I don't know what GMs putting in these cars...

Anyone thinking of upgrading their clutch to a sport aftermarket that can handle the work?

The RL clutch sounds like it slips right out of the box.

Yeah, not that he's a dog, and he's gunna sniff around the engine bay dood.

It's sort of a brake pad smell I suppose, but rev to about 5k and slowly let out the clutch for about 4 to 5 seconds and you should smell it.

Honestly though, even though I was already being honest, when you mess up and slip the clutch you'll know it's the smell.
