My predicament is that aside from getting a $100 canned tune from ZZP I have three options:
1. Stay with the stock GMS2 tune and hope I'm not leaving too much hp on the table. Cost: $0.00
2. Use local guy who has tuned a couple Cobalts but specializes in Mustangs. Cost: $450
3. Use Trifecta tuner in the next state over who specializes in Pontiac G8s. Cost: $250
I'm concerned about the Mustang guy not nothing know enough about the LSJ to make it worth the money. And I've heard horror stories about Trifecta tunes running too lean and popping the motor.
Any suggestions on my best course of action? Thanks!

With a stage2 tune your really not going to pick up to many extra ponies with a custom tune unless you swap two e or tvs or a turbo or even nitrous. So stay stage2 or do a good mod. Just my opinion of course. You could drive to texas and I can tune you lmao.
Could try and find a cheap hptuners and learn yourself. A good place to start is dialing in a stage 2 tune. Of course a wideband purchase would be needed too.
