You would probably need a TVS, along with all the supporting mods that go with it.

Get the dual pass first. They are more effective.

93 octane, 60# injectors minimum, and meth injection if you plan on using a stock block.

Always run the best gas available in your area. There is a difference between 91 and 93 octane.

As mentioned you will need to run meth injection too. Not for cooling but performance. If you run a TVS on gasoline all by itself it will feel slow. Your only going to make around 300whp.

There are basically 3 options for running a TVS.

1. E85

2. Gasoline and Methanol injection

3. Ported Head.

IMHO, if you are not going to do one of the 3 then don't waste your money on a TVS.

Im sending my head to billabong9687 to get port and polished since im getting a head gasket repair. And i fond out a station thats about 15-20 mins from my house sells E85. Im not gonna lie. Im intimidated by E85. I know nothing about it except you need 80#s and all 3 cooling mods. When i purchase all of my performance mods im seriously thinking about going with E85 on my m62. Ive read you can use a 2.5 or 2.6 with E85? Can i get away with that on stock springs and stock cams? And my only tunning option atm is zzp...

Ideally. I left that out because that is the setup that Powell runs and the last time I left that out he got all pissy! lol

The largest overall restriction in the LSJ is the exhaust ports on the head. So if you free of that restriction it goes a long way.

Don't go crazy with these tiny pulleys. Just because one person had done it doesn't mean everyone can do it all day long. No one should go lower then a 2.7" pulley unless they have the means to constantly monitor and update their tune.

I have ran a 2.6" on the M62 but all it really does is ramp up the TQ a little faster under the curve. Peak HP is probably very similar to a 2.7" or maybe even a 2.8".

A 2.8" pulley maxes out the official efficiency rating of the M62 just before 7000rpms. So spinning the M62 past that makes it much less efficient.

Well, John is a perfectionist and wants to cover things from every aspect. Unfortunately when he finds an ideal setup, affordability has already punched most of us in the back of the head a long time ago.
