difference between a pulley and modular pulley?

Hey guys just curious. I was shopping zzp and two different pulleys. Which is which and whats the difference between a stage pulley and modular pulley? Also would a mechanic have the tools to change a pulley or do i need to buy a pulley puller?

The GM Stage pulleys fit on the GM Stage Kit hub. ZZP's Modular pulley system includes a new hub (different from GM's), and pulley(s) that fit onto that hub. If your car has a GM Stage Kit, I would go with a GM Stage pulley (unless you want to go smaller than a 2.8).

As far as the mechanic having the tools, you will probably just need to call them and ask. I had my local Saturn dealership install my GM stage 2 kit back in the day, so they obviously had the right tools.

If you plan on going to smaller pulley, you will need to get a new tune.

i installed my pulley myself with a pulley puller left supercharger on the car then used a hammer and plank of wood to slam the hub on there, kinda ghetto but worked great and best of all it was free :"]

Getting a head gasket repair. They gonne pull the head and have it milled and check for cracks and he told me he has to take supercharger off anyways so he would install all my mods pretty much for free.
