It was a few generations ago. 0TTP now uses an HE with air to air bar style fins which are not as good for cooling.
You know how these things go. ZZP and 0TTP are always looking for way to provided the "biggest" core as possible to make people feel like they are cool. But sometimes bigger is not always better.
The effectiveness of Front Mount Heat Exchangers is still up for debate. It is extremely difficult to scientifically test modifications to the SC cooling system because of the amount of variables which influence IAT1s and IAT2s.
All I know is that I wouldn't believe anyone who says they know all the answers.
IMHO, I believe that a FMHE ran in series with the stock HE is better then just the stock HE. The ZZP S3 is a nice peice but I think it is too large and you will have clearance issues with a lowered car.
If someone one forced me to install a FMHE on my car I would go with the CX Racing Dual pass. I enjoyed it the most.
