Not bad at all. Having a friend helps. Make sure you mark the location of the old linkage, like it tells ya... Pretty easy.

When I get mine eventually, it will be a bitch.

I used a two part epoxy to glue the shift knob back on because I got tired of it coming off in my hand despite having the whole assembly replaced by the dealer.

I don't think that knob will EVER come off again, even if I want it to.

My knob was on so tight that I almost couldn't get it off... they must have switched glues... then, I punched myself right in the Fkin nose/mouth. A solid punch to. As the knob released with no warning!

My nose STILL hurts a bunch... I thought for sure I had broke it at first. I've taken shots in fights that weren't 1/2 that hard.

Does the install require you to get under the car?

You should ask Saturn for the footage from their spy camera if you bopping yourself That's hilarious how everyone does it.

And JPK epoxied his on..I don't think the dealerships use any kind of bond...just for the very reason that you may need to get it off to replace the assembly at one point.

You should be able to pull the boot off the bottom after you remove the shifter. You shouldn't need to remove the knob.

Or just flip it over, like working on a bicycle chain.

Some cars require that you actually get underneath the car for the B&M install, is the redline one of them, or can you do the whole process with the car on the ground?
