air/fuel ratio gauge?

Any body running an air fuel gauge? Wondering cause I'm going with a 3' pulley and one stage colder plugs, and wanted to keep track of my a/f ratio. What kind(Analog/Digital) will work with our car? What else would I need to install on our cars? Sending unit? etc. Thanks in advance for your inputs.

if you're monitoring AFRs for anything other than decoration, you'll want to go wide band (as EXHondaman suggests) The narrowband gages cant really tell you your AFR- only that you're RICHER or LEANER than 14.7:1
I recommend the INNOVATE gage LC-1 combo as besides being very accurate, it has built in logging and can send out a simulated 0-1V analog signal that will simulate your oem O2 input to the LSJ PCM.

Holy cow! Is that just an output to computer Wop? Dosen't look like there's a display unit attached there.

I think he meant the gauge along with the LC1 unit...

If you are installing the AEM or Innovate Wideband A/F gauges and installing a seperate bung for the wideband O2 sensor, then does it really matter if the controller sends out a simulated analog output to emulate the factory O2 sensor? Seems to me that if it is truly a "standalone" unit, then the ECU could give two sh!ts whether or not there is another O2 sensor installed in an additional bung in the downpipe...

I'm truly curious here, and not meaning to come off as a smartass...

Your not creating a new bung for the wideband... you are replacing the stock sensor with the wideband and then having the seperate controller send the stock 0-1v signal to the PCM ...
Not coming off as a smartass... its a good question... same one I asked when I first start looking at them !

Exactly
As you know, with the close coupled cat on the LSJ, there's not a lot of pipe to work with between the collector, that goofy "flex" coupling, and the cat. So with WB controllers that have the "simulated" 1V analog output, the expense and hassle of adding a 2nd bung is really not neccesary.

The shop here that is doing my exhaust is planning to weld in an additional bung for the Wideband O2 sensor into the new TOG downpipe.

Is this not wise? Will it effect the operability of the A/F Gauge? I'd rather not tamper with the factory wiring at all... I'm thinking this would also simplify installation of the gauge. I already have all the electrical work done that I am going to do, all I should need to do if an additional bung is welded in place is pop in the new Wideband O2 sensor, route the wiring to the guage and plug in.

Am I way off in left field here, or are my assumptions correct?
