3.0 pully worth it?

I just got the 3.0 pulley and I could not get it off the Blower at all...is there anti seize on it or is it just that hard to get it off. and is it worth all the work of doing....like can you feel a diff. in the two sizes cause if not then I might just send it back. And has anyone had problems with the belt slipping off or anything like that?

Pulley Puller is your friend.

I think its worth the work. The factory pulley is just on really tight. It takes a lot of force then it pops and comes off easier after the pop. There doesnt seem to be an increase of peak hp but the boost kicks much lower and it feels like better power in the lower rpms. The belt doesnt slip at all either.

I did it w/o the pulley puller the first time and that was a hell of a mess. Definitely gotta use the right tool for the right job.

no keyway, just press fit. thats why it comes off so hard. Use a ZZ or SFPH type puller, the three jaw doesnt work very well. I used that the first time and it destroyed the stock pulley. The pulley puller evens out the pressure and has a center pin to keep it evenly spaced.

No, no keyway.

If you don't use a puller/installer, you're gonna ruin the original pulley, and how are you gonna get it on? It goes on as tight as it comes off. Rent the puller. Do yourself a favor. Yes it's worth it, to me. It's not a Psi-Fi kit, but it give you boost much sooner. I'm around 7psi at 2,200 rpms....

the ecu needs programming to increase peak hp but it definitely feels like it gives a much better torque curve. That and it smoothes out the shifts. Mine doesnt hiccup anymore.
