Arrow Who Makes Aftermarket Clutches for our Car?

hey guys since I have to replace my clutch anyways I was wondering if anyone knows of any good aftermartket clutches for our cars? I know Gravanna has some SPEC clutches on there site that look pretty. Ive decide to go aftermarket and have my own mechanic put an new clutch in because I refuse to pay the $1500 GM wants for a replacement factory clutch! Why pay that much for stock when I more than likely can find an aftermarket one that is better and cheaper! Also is it absolutely necessier that I upgrade the flywheel if I upgrade the clutch?

RSM Racing sells one for $450. I know the site doesn't specifically say it is for the Red Line but it is. I emailed them and asked, and also a member here has one.

you don't have to upgrade the flywheel, just resurface it. Spec and RSM are the only two i know of so far...

i can't recall the website adress exactly but on the gravana site they have a flywheel and three different stages of clutches for our cars pretty pricey but hell you can get stage three and a lightened flywheel for just under a grand.... that's alot less than 1500 for OEM crap

Not to bring this back from the dead or anything, but has anyone heard of exedy clutches? I looked on their website, they have a listing for a redline but no part numbers or anything. So i guess that means that they are planning on making one?

I talked to ALL of the reps for clutch manufacturers @ sema and several are on the way. BTW I also learned to watch out of spec and clutches that are available they are taking factory presure plate and mearly changing the pivot point. This is because we have auto adjustment type clutches. All of the big name brands said in order to do it right we would need to change everything to manual adjustment in order to get the best perf..

From what I was told it will work great for awile but wont have the longevity that a manual adjusted would have.. Personally I have never used spec so they could be feeding me a line. I have always used centerforce dual friction and had great results but time will tell..
