check engine light?

about a month ago i installed a k&n typhoon cai since then my check engine light has lit up three times. Saturn says its throwing an air fuel code and its because of the intake. has any one else had this problem? plus since i added the cai i have had white exaust coming out my tail pipe, is that b/c im runnig real rich? last time i went in they also said i was about 3/4 quart low on oil and i just had it changed by the dealership about 1000 miles b4. they dont even know if im supposed to be burning that much oil or not b/c theres not a lot of rl's so they dont have much feed back. i highly doubt that id be burning more oil b/c of the cai. but the white exaust might be b/c the ecu thinks that b/c theres more air that it needs to add more fuel so im running rich but i dont really know if thats the case or not. does any one have any idea what the hell is going on with my car b/c saturn cant tell me.

wow, a bunch of shit that shouldnt be happening. Alot of people are throwing that lean code, clean your maf real good and put it back in, restet the Ecu an that should fix that. Saturn has a TSB on this but still swears ignorance. About the oil thing that is a new one.

first off your not running rish.. your running lean... too lean for the computers liking.. hence the code... second white smoke is not oil it's coolant.. blueish grey smoke is oil.. so you being 3/4 short on oil is just natural burn off... next up... do u live in a northern state.... mabey somewhere wheres it's been getting cold lately.. if so the engine always blows white smoke for about 5 mins after u turn the engine over... it's just warming up the engine..

i live in missouri its sort of in the middle. its been getting chilly but not cold enough yet to really blame the weather. and the first time i noticed it it was pretty warm out side i was on a high way and some friends noticed when i down shifted to speed up and then the smoke again when i shifed back to fith. since i had more oil added another friend says its comming out all the time now cuz they saw it when i was driving away from their house. but what i dont get is why if its coolant am i leaking or burning or whatever is makeing it come out of my exaust why is it happening?
